Code of Conduct:
In the fall of 2003 a committee of players, parents, managers, coaches and board members met to develop the first Power code of conduct. The purpose of the code is to set guidelines and expectations for everyone who is involved in the Power program. That extends beyond the obvious players and coaches to the parents and guests who attend games and official functions.
For coaches and parents it is simply about the game being for the players, providing a positive environment, and setting a consistent example of fairness and respect.
For the players it is about representing themselves, their families, their team and organization well. Players are expected to be courteous, respectful and should always be responsible for their actions on and off of the field.
Each player, parent, manager and coach will sign a copy of the appropriate section of the code agreeing to abide by its guidelines.
Moving forward, a permanent "Code of Ethics Committee" has been formed to address any issues and administer any disciplinary actions arising from violations of this code. Anyone wishing to participate on the committee can simply contact any current board member.
