US National Team Visit:
The Pittsburgh Power and Washington Wildthings would like to address the ticket issue regarding the game between the US Womens National Team and Robert Morris University. There have been may stories told and blogs posted about the May 1st game being sold out.
As of February 12, 2008 all advance group ticket sales for the softball game between US National Team and Robert Morris University on May 1st have been sold out. A waiting list for group sales is being held by the Washington Wildthings. A block of tickets will go on sale March 10th for individual orders. Orders will be limited to 6 tickets per order. These tickets will be available at the Consol Energy Park ticket office on March 10th.
Both the Wildthings and Power are fully aware of the ticket demand for event, and they are exploring all possibilities to add seats or to increase standing room so more fans can see the game. Weather permitting, bleacher seating in the outfield will be added, allowing an additional 500 or more fans to see the game. However because these bleachers will sit on the outfield grass, the decision to use them will depend on the weather. Those tickets will be sold game day at the park ticket office.
