Pittsburgh Power Players Logging The Miles

Posted August 22, 2016

Between January 2016 and January 2017, several members of the Pittsburgh Power organization will be logging the airline miles as they participate in several softball related events. With the combination of athletic, cultural, and educational experiences, these players will have memories that will last a lifetime. Congratulations and best of luck to all players in their future endeavors.

Queen of Diamonds North - January 2016 - Kent State University

Mirjana Hutnik, Trinity Murphy, Hayden Powroznik, Samantha Pykare, and Kelsey Smith participated in the Queen of Diamonds North showcase. This showcase allowed our Pittsburgh Power players an opportunity to showcase their talents to college coaches. The core focus of this event was to market our organization’s players, resulting in the exposure needed to get on the radar screens of colleges and universities.

USSSA Futures All American Team - August 2016 - Kissimmee, FL

Trinity Murphy was named as a “direct select” to the U.S.S.S.A. Futures All American Team for the Northeast Region based on her incredible performance at the Pittsburgh Elite Select tryout on May 8th. There were 24 players selected from eight regions across the United States who participated in the games. Over the course of 6 days Trinity trained and played with some of the nation’s top players.

USA Elite Select 30 All American Camp - August 2016 - Tuscaloosa, AL

Mirjana Hutnik and Trinity Murphy were selected to participate in the USA Elite Select 30 All American Camp in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on August 19th - 21st. This tremendous honor allowed the girls to showcase their individual talents in front of a network of professional talent scouts, while experiencing three days of professional fast pitch action and two days of elite level skill testing and training.
